England vs. South Africa?

Just quick checking the RWC schedule, England versus South Africa this weekend.

That is going to be one hell of a match. I think South Africa could take it.

The first replay is right in the middle of our game Saturday (2:30) here in the Midwest, but then again later that night at 10 p.m. I hope I’m still up and about by then to see it.

Predictions? Thoughts? This is THE crucial match of Pool A.

GO ENGLAND!!! This will be an AWESOME match, I am thinking of buying it so I can have the download.

    SO EXCITED!

With England’s trouble at flyhalf and despite the Burger suspension and the De Villiers injury, I think the Boks are going to romp. As an All Blacks fan (and no fan of South Africa) I don’t know how I feel about it, but I guess a win for SA would have the kiwis facing them later rather than sooner in the knockout rounds, which is a good thing.

It is after the match, but really, anyone who thought it would be awesome was kidding themselves. England are rotten. Does show how much of a fluke, and a lucky fluke at that, 2003 was.

Lucky? A fluke? That’s ludicrous. It’s simply a case of a great team falling apart and not being rebuilt. Teams rise and fall, and one shouldn’t interpret today’s results to mean anything about results four years ago.

However, this (and the loss to Tonga) certainly takes some of the luster off of the promising result from last week. At this rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if England missed the quarterfinal.
