U-23 Eagle Update

Lisa at GirlsPlayRugby has posted some photos of the U-23 Eagles playing their match against MARFU and team training with the Philly Women to share. The galleries are via the U-23 links on the page (ignore the 2005 date).

She also wanted to again share the footwork camps that National 7s coach Julie McCoy has started (which I posted earlier here):

“Jules is taking the training the USA players have been getting and packaging it for the “regular” player who aspires to be better. It’s a fee-basis, but proceeds will help the USA Women’s 7’s program to their first ever Womens Sevens World Cup in 2007.”

Be sure and check it out if you haven’t already. The link is also on the sidebar.

Thanks Lisa!

UPDATE: The U-23s rallied back with five tries in the second half to down the Philly Women 34-33 and then tied MARFU 10-10 in the domestic matches. Next year, the younger Eagles will travel to New Zealand and according to a Goff article, 21 of this year’s 27 players, are still eligible.

Here’s the roster and coaching staff …

No problem! But remember, I can share news on the U-23s or any other rugby fabulousness unless you share it with me.

    Thanks for visiting!
