Yeah! I know one of these players! Halie Fry is a Madison local and also plays for my former college team. Congrats Halie and all the other U-19 selections!
4-29-2006 – U19 Women’s National Team Announced
BOULDER, Colo. – USA Rugby U-19 Women’s National Team Head Coach Bryn Chivers announced Saturday the 28 players that make up his first team.
From March 11 in Nashville through April 22 in Milwaukee, the USA Rugby U19 staff ran five clinics and camps in a seven-week period identifying players. In the process they had the opportunity to work with over 200 players and 50 coaches. The goal was to provide as many players as possible with a venue relatively close to home where they could be viewed for a spot on the USA Rugby U19 Women’s National Team.
The following squad of twenty-eight players will assemble in Colorado June 5-16 to participate in the USA Rugby U-23 Women’s All-Star Championships and will represent the United States in two international tests against Canada on June 13 and 15 in Boulder.
They will also have the opportunity to live and train at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs for the duration of the assembly.

Update: From the comments on an earlier U-19 post …
Hi, My name Ashley Sauck and i was one of the girls selected to play on the U-19 USA Womens National Team! I was scouted out at the end of march early April while i was playing in a match in Colorado Springs against Colorado College (I play for Univ. of Northern Colo). I had no idea i was being taped and a couple weeks later i received an E-mail from Bryn. I am REALY excited to train and play for such a team! And very excited to meet my team-mates as well!
Congratulations and good luck Ashley! 🙂
